Beacons Basketball Lady Beacon Volleyball

Tonight was the final regular season game for the Bird Lake Beacons. The guys were AWESOME!!!! It is such a privilege to be associated with these gentleman and can't forget the Lady Beacons!! The seniors Michael Maloyed and Michael Miller led the Varsity team to a great win over the Lansing Pacers. Michael and Michael will probably never know the impact they have had on some very young impressionable little boys (my son is one of them). Thank you guys for being examples of Christianity even in frustrating situations. I can't wait to see how the guys do in Regional and then International Convention. It was a great evening, but a little sad knowing "The Michaels" won't be gracing our gym next year as Beacons. God Bless you both as you follow Him!!
Regional Convention here come the Beacons.
GO BEACONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Potty Training

Who ever says being a Mom isn't challenging enough needs to attempt to potty train a very adventurous 2 year old!!! I really hadn't thought about training Kendrick yet, BUT he has a mind of his own and the last couple days he has been saying "Mommy potty". So today when I got home from Alpha Omega, Kendrick starts saying "Mommy potty" I take him sit him on the potty and he GOES!!!!! He has done that twice more since!!! So maybe he will be potty trained by the time he is 2. Although a part of me is sad to think that my "baby" is becoming a toddler and growing up, I am so thankful for a healthy boy who is developing like he should.

Cute Friends

This is a picture of Kendrick and his friend Bethany from church. She is his "Beth, Beth" and he is her "Keh, Keh".

These two are about 6 weeks apart in age, and she is FINALLY catching up to him in height. We thank the Lord for the way He has touched Miss Bethany in her short little life and brought her through so much already. I can't wait to see how God will use this little girl for His Glory.

A Rather Boring Week

It seems I have joined the many others who update their blogs once a week (or a little less often). It would be so much easier and exciting to blog if I had an interesting life, but I don't. I am thankful for uneventful, boring days because that must mean my life is going good. Kendrick has been fighting a bit of allergy/cold this week, but hopefully that is soon on the mend. Oh and Bethany if you/your mommy checks this post, Kendrick missed seeing you Sunday night!!! He kept going to the door saying "Beth, Beth". So if all goes as planned"Beth, Beth" "Keh, Keh" will see you Friday!
Due to a lack of photography on my part I am going to post a couple pics of when Kendrick was a little smaller.

Life is so precious!

This afternoon I had the greatest privilege imaginable. I got to visit the mommy I have been mentoring at Alpha Omega! She delivered a healthy baby and is doing great herself. It is such a reminder how precious life really is. It was so amazing to see the little person she has been carrying the last 9 months. I started mentoring her when she was only 7 weeks! A funny thing happened (at least I thought it was kinda funny after the scared feeling left), I turned to get Kendrick and he wasn't there. He had simply and quietly left the room and was at the nurses station. Boy did that make my heart stop. That's the first time he has ever done that!!

Thanks Emily and Amy for a great time this afternoon. You girls are the GREATEST!!!! It was fun to have a girls afternoon out (with the exception of two little males). Sorry Em that Marcus didn't cooperate exactly the way you hoped he would! All in all it was a great day!
