What a week Kendrick has had. On Tuesday he officially turned 2!! Then on Saturday we had his birthday party. On the way to town it started raining. We had planned to have his party at Owens Park, but when we got there the pavilions were already occupied, so we made a quick change of plans and went to Lewis Emery Park. It continued to rain lightly all day, but we still had a good time. On Friday Mark and I bought Kendrick a little 4 wheeler or as he calls it a "beep beep". He has ridden it some, but with Saturday being so busy then Sunday he hasn't ridden it much. I decided to do baseball cupcakes instead of one big cake this year because of having so many kids at his party. He had a blast with Brandon, Bradley and Bethany Crowl, Justice, Dakota, Tyler, Zach and Tannen Mayle (well Tannen didn't actually get to get in on all the fun). Kendrick and Bethany got totally soaked and covered in dirt/mud. The only sad thing is poor Bethany wasn't in Church this morning due to a fever. Hope its nothing major and she is feeling better soon. We are so thankful for such good friends to share good times with. Russ, Lydia and their kids along with Grandma Mary weren't able to make it to the party yesterday. BUT they all came here for lunch today. We have had a good afternoon. We want to say a special thank you to Grandma Mary who has given Kendrick a gift that will NEVER be broken, wasted or unappreciated. Hopefully she will be able to see the fruits of her gift in the years to come.

Two Years Ago Today
Could it be that it was 2 years ago today that we welcomed our baby boy into the world? He was 7lbs 13oz. of cuteness and love. God has blessed us beyond measure with Kendrick. He has been such a joy always smiling and laughing, and now becoming a little tease. We are so fortunate that he has never been seriously ill or hurt these past 2 years. Kendrick, Mommy and Daddy love you so much. May you learn to love and follow Jesus early in your life. We can't wait to see what God has in store for your life.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Matt Maloyed!!
Friday was the perfect day for a perfect wedding. It has been a privilege of everyone who attends Bird Lake Church to watch Matt & Christina's love grow from childhood "puppy love" to Lasting Love, evidenced Friday afternoon in a beautiful service where they committed their lives to each other and to God's Service. Congratulations Matt and Christina as you start your new life together as husband and wife! Also our prayers are with you as you start your Ministry together. You are going to be AWESOME Youth Pastor and Wife! You will be greatly missed around Bird Lake, but God has great things in store for you at Beavertown!

Happy 4th of July!
I just wanted to take a minute and say how blessed I am to live in such a great country. I also want to thank some special people that have kept this country safe and free. First of all my brother Ken was in the Army back in the 80's. Mark's brother Jim served in the Navy and his brother Ed and his wife Carol served in the Marines Mark's brother-in-law Chris also served in the Marines. Then Thank You to a few that I know personally or have made "acquaintance" with through the years. Noah and his wife Heather and children are currently in TX while Noah is serving in the Army. James and Henryetta Price and children are in KY with James serving in the Army (we'll be praying for you all in the months of James' deployment!!) Stephen and Tracey Miller and children are currently in AK with a deployment facing them this fall. Bradley Cunningham has already been through 2 deployments and is currently serving in the Army stationed in CA. Andy and Kara Plank and son live in PA with Andy being deployed in Afghanistan. Thank you to all the soldiers past and present who have sacrificed so much to give us the freedom that we enjoy. So on this day of fireworks, cookouts, and fun may we not forget the reason we are able to enjoy all of this with peace of mind and safety.
