Father's Day Thoughts

This is Father's Day weekend and I want to wish some of my favorite Dad's Happy Father's Day.
First I want to wish Mark the BEST Father's Day he has had yet. Mark is an example of a Godly Father. Honey, I love to watch you with Kendrick. I love to watch the two of you play and I also love to watch you hold him when he has gotten hurt or isn't feeling good. I always think about the time I was in the hospital after Kendrick was born. As a new father Mark took on sole responsibility of Kendrick for a WEEK!! I don't know of too many new dads who would have taken off work stayed home with a newborn AND make daily visits to the hospital. He could have called his Mom or his sisters to take care of Kendrick but he didn't. He has always taken fatherhood seriously and I appreciate that about Mark. I could not ask for a better partner on the journey of parenting!! We love you!!
My Dad has always been a special person to me. He has taught me how to work hard and how to enjoy it. I know there were times when we were hauling wood and I would complain about being hot and sweaty he would always laugh and say "Good wood heat always heats ya twice". He also taught me how to be the best 'tater bug picker in the WORLD (UGHH how I hated that). But in that he also taught me that hard work produces good things. He also taught me the fun of fishing. What fun we had sitting on the river bank fishing until I got bored with sitting there and would decide to make worms dizzy (honestly it did work the dizzier the worm the easier it was to get on the hook, plus when they hit the water they would really start to wriggle and you caught more fish!!!) Thanks Dad for all the sacrifices you made to put me through Christian school and making sure I was in Church EVERYTIME the doors were open. I love you!!
Father's Day is always a little difficult for Mark. He lost his father in November 1992. I sure wish I would have had the opportunity to meet the man who made a man of Mark. I love to hear stories from Mark about his dad for I always get a glimpse of where Mark gets his humor and his ability to tease. We love you Dad Richards!!
I want to wish a Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there. You make the world complete!!

I think Chris must of said her home church started Bible school. Meaning New Castle. Sorry, about that.
